Hi.
The automatic adjustment of stride length does not seem to work in the Android app. I've tried starting a running session from my Blaze (after connecting to my phone for GPS tracking) and starting a tracked run from within the fitbit app. Neither method updates the stride length. If I calculate the stride length by dividing the distance by the number of steps, it is very different from the value in the app. Am I missing something, or does this just not work like the app says it will.

Hello @Stooksed, good to see you around the Fitbit Community! In this case you are mentioning you are using GPS to track your exercise. In this case the stride length information you are updating on your account wont be take in account since the distance is provided by the GPS on your phone.
Stride length is take in consideration when the exercise is not recorded through the GPS feature of your tracker. Fitbit Trackers calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps by your walking stride length and multiplying your running steps by your running stride length. If you have a Fitbit Blaze or Fitbit Charge 2 and track one or more runs using connected GPS, we evaluate that data to automatically update your running stride length.
With GPS to improve the accuracy make sure your phone can identify your location and can track your location when you're not using Wi-Fi and the Fitbit app is open on your phone or running in the background. Do not force quit the Fitbit app.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have additional questions.

Thanks Roberto.
The thing is, the stride length is NOT adjusted automatically after running with GPS. .

Hello @Stooksed, thank you for the additional details. For best results, run at a comfortable pace for at least 10 minutes.
If this is not working try to restart your phone as is indicated in this post.
It's important to mention the phone you are using is a P9 and despite the phone has all the hardware requirements to sync, we cannot guarantee the behavior in relation to the Fitbit app or the Fitbit tracker's feature. To see the latest list of supported devices, please go to http://www.fitbit.com/devices. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!
Catch ya later!
