Google Fit and Fitbit resting heart rate different

Hi

My Fitbit app is showing my RHR as 72 yet Google Fit is showing 64. Since Google Fit uses my Fitbit as the data source and actually owns Fitbit, why the difference?

Both systems may use the same data as input but different algorithms to come up with RHR. Not uncommon in the fitness industry.
