Hi

I have a new Google Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch LTE and Fitbit account. Connecting the watch to the phone was easy and worked well so and I can adjust all the settings via Google Watch mobile app.

When trying to connect Fitbit mobile app to the watch just seeing "Connecting to your watch...". Same happens when trying to create connection from the watch by opening Fitbit app there which then opens Fitbit app in the phone. Same happens too with my older Pixel 4 phone. Both phone and watch have the latest OS versions and patches and same goes with all the installed applications.

Tried connecting at least 30 times with different combinations. Only bluetooth on (wifi off), cleared app data and cache several times, reinstalled Fitbit mobile app, factory reset the watch 3 times, force closed Fitbit mobile app, restarted devices.

Would be nice to get this 900 € combination to work like is should work... All help highly appreciated, thanks.

Got help via Google's community. Both devices, phone and watch, have to be changed to use English as a language. Otherwise connecting won't work.

@migis I am not a Pixel person, so take anything I say with a grain of salt 🙂

  • I am wondering if the Google Watch app is holding the BT connection, and preventing the Fitbit app from connecting.
  • Also, please make sure that your Pixel 4 has the Bluetooth turned off, when you try to connect.

Good luck

Thanks. I switched Pixel 4 off and force stopped Pixel Watch mobile app on Pixel 7 before trying to connect from Fitbit mobile app to the watch. Didn't help.

I just change the main langues on my watch to english and it worked.

To change the language on your watch, you'd have to do so on your phone.  Go to your phone's settings -> system -> languages and input -> languages -> add/change to English.
