Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner.

Regarding your inquiry about Rowing, this activity is available on the list of exercises in the Fitbit app. To add it, jut tap on the "+" symbol on the "Track your exercise" tile and type "rowing". Then enter the details related to the activity and click on Log It.

@BraulioFitbit  the question was can it be added as a shortcut. I would also like to see that, I expect a lot of others would too.

Not too helpful. The question was about adding it as an exercise shortcut. I am a rower too.

What core exercise would most mimic ERG rowing?

@AncientKitty currently, only Sense 2 and Versa 4 support Indoor Rowing as type of exercise but it's nothing more but a new label and icon. There are no new metrics like you can see on some other watches (ie. stroke rate, power, drag factor, speed, pace, distance). It doesn't really matter what exercise you use to track rowing. Probably, best choice is Workout which later you can rename.
