I have contacted fitbit and they have passed it on to their repairs department or what ever they call it. They said they are investigating it. Further research and Google play have up dated there service and have caused this problem as other are complaining about loosing other services. I would suggest the more fitbit is made aware the more that will get done to resolve this matter.

Thanks for letting me know I am not the only person who's fitbit app is not working correctly.

Many thanks

I was curious whether the map data shows up on my computer and I can confirm it did. It appears it's just and android app issue.

I would agree. It is all androids apps that have the same issue and it seems to stem from Google play itself.

Anyone updated to the new firmware version and did it help in any way. Appreciate a response from fitbit about this issue! Very dissapointing !

Best Answer

I've updated to the new firmware and can confirm it does not fix the issue.

I managed to fix the issue by Un installing Google play services and installing it again.

Best Answer

Did that and did not work for me. Did you Uninstall Google Play and then installed again by downloading the apk? Or any other way ?

Thanks

Best Answer

I was going to revert to an older version using the apk but it wasn't necessary. I just did it via the play store.

I Uninstalled play store app and installed the apk again. So what was the name of the app that you Uninstalled since I don't have a Google play services app.? Thanks for your assistance .

Best Answer

It was mere coincidence. I opened my bt sport app and it asked me to update Google play services which then took me to the relevant place. Like you I've just tried to find it via the play store to no avail

If you type 'Google play services' into a Google search bar it should bring up the link for you to install it
