Hi, i have had a Charge HR since last year which has never worked to track gps via the app on my phone. I have recently had to replace my Charge so opted for the new Alta HR, not knowing that it doesnt have a button to manually start detecting your workout.
I tried to record my walk via the app but it froze and my phone turned itself off as a result. This happens everytime i try to use the app to track.
I went a walk with periods of running for 43mins however the alta only auto tracked 18mins run for the whole time. Very frustrating! I then tried to manually add my run when i was home which resulted in me losing 3000 steps for the day. So i either have accurate steps or a tracking of my run?!
Does anyone have any suggestions as im very dissapointed at it not being accurate.
Thanks, Eilidh Fraser

Hey. @EilidhF! Welcome to the family! It's unfortunate to hear that your App is crashing every time you try to record your walk. Confirm that you have a strong Internet connection, enough battery and that you have all the other Apps or programms off so that it doesn't interrup or slows the process for this feature.
Since the Alta is design to automatically track your exercises, I would suggest you to restart both your tracker and your phone and then give it a try. If this doesn't work, then try the following:
1. Uninstall the Fitbit App
2. Download and install the latest version of the Fitbit App from the Google Play store
Hello there, @Dragonfruit, it is so nice to see you again and helping! 🙂
Let us know how it goes!
