Is nice to see you here @SunsetRunner! and also thanks for sharing your tip, I'm going to share it, if somebody need it. However, if the issue persist, let me recommend the following:
1. Open the Fitbit App and log out
2. Turn off the Bluetooth and also your cellphone
3. Restart your tracker
4. Turn On your cellphone and also the Bluetooth
5. Finally, set up your tracker as a new Fitbit device
