For a few days now there has been no heart rate data registering during my mindfulness sessions. It used to show heart rate and the change from beginning to end, but now shows nothing. All it says is to wear my fitbit during the sessions. I am! It used to work, it's still showing heart rate data everywhere else, I have changed nothing. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi everyone,
Thank you for the details shared about what you're experiencing while tracking Mindfulness workouts. I'd like you to confirm that this procedure is being followed.
If you're but your heart rate isn't registered, reply to the following questions:
- Which Fitbit tracker/watch do you have?
- What is your phone model and OS installed on it?
- Did it start happening after any app update?
- Are you using the Relax app or only wearing your tracker while doing Mindfulness workouts?
Hope this helps.

I am following the "How do I start a mindfulness session in the Fitbit app?" Instructions on the page you linked to. I am not referring to the Relax App, but the Mindfulness Tile. I could not correlate this problem with any app update, as it started occurring very shortly after I started using the Mindfulness Tile.
In my case I've just tried a mindfulness session and, while it initially said that there was no heart rate data for my session, it appeared after a few minutes. This hadn't happened reliably in previous instances. I'm always running the latest versions of Android and the Fitbit app that is available at the time. I've just looked at previous mindfulness sessions that has said they had no heart rate data, and when I clicked on them, data appeared so perhaps the app is retroactively filling that in after a resolved bug?
Below is the current version information for my devices. Obviously this will have been updated since previous failed mindfulness sessions, and I have not tested this enough recently to know if the problem is still occurring sporadically.
- Fitbit Charge 4, firmware version 48.20001.100.43
- Google Pixel 4, running Android 11 build RQ2A.210505.002
- Fitbit app Version 3.41.2 (20243568)
Following are screenshots of previous sessions, some of which previously claimed there was no heart rate data. The OS, Fitbit app, and tracker firmware would have been at their latest available versions at the time those sessions occurred.

Hi, I'm having the same issue with heart rate not being tracked in mindfulness sessions. I'm not using the relax app at this time. I read the procedures you attached, and confirm they're being followed. I have never once received a heart rate for the mindfulness sessions and I got a brand new charge 4 - received it only 2 weeks ago.
- device: charge 4
- phone: Samsung S21 5G; Android 11 installed
- it has never worked. I updated the firmware a couple weeks ago as part of the very initial setup because my notifications did not work; there is no update available now to complete.
- I'm wearing the tracker while doing the mindfulness sessions (not currently using Relax).
Please let me know if you need any other info to be able to assist. Thanks in advance for your help!!

@EJ103 Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thank you for sharing detailed information about your phone and Fitbit tracker.
I appreciate the troubleshooting performed prior to posting. Let's try the following procedure:
- Log out from the Fitbit app
- Clear the app cache
- Restart your phone
- Log back in
As mentioned by @mattcen try tapping on your Mindfulness sessions then go back and see if they show heart rate data.
Hope this helps.

The fastest way to get it fixed is to provide more detailed information regarding your specific software, hardware, and experience, as per the above comments by @SilviaFitbit :).

I'm having the same issue with heart rate not getting logged during mindfulness session. Here are the answers to the questions you had asked.
I'm following the right procedure according to the article you had linked.
1. Fitbit Blaze.
2. Google pixel 4a 5G
3. No recent updates.
4. Just wearing the tracker while mindfulness workouts. No relax app.
Please help!

My mindfulness sessions have never logged heartrate. I even switched phones and no change. I run the sessions from the app directly and the app does know and track heartrate.
- Which Fitbit tracker/watch do you have?
-- Inspire 2
- What is your phone model and OS installed on it?
-- S21 5G Android 11, previously S9
- Did it start happening after any app update?
-- Never worked
- Are you using the Relax app or only wearing your tracker while doing Mindfulness workouts?
-- From Fitbit app

Charge 4

Sony H8266, Android version 10

No.

What do you mean by 'Relax app'? If you mean, am I in the Fitbit app using a guided meditation, then yes (if you are referring to a separate/different app I am not aware of, then no).
"Mindfulness workouts"??? What do you mean by this? I am wearing my fitbit continuously, including when I use my fitbit app to follow a guided meditation and it does not give me my heartrate after the session. Never has.

I am having the same problem. My mindfulness session has recorded my heart rate for a while but then stopped. It last recorded my heart rate on June 22. The Charge 4/app still records my heart rate fine otherwise. I don't know if there was an update at that time or not, I have my phone set to automatically apply app updates

- Are you using the Relax app or only wearing your tracker while doing Mindfulness workouts? I first noticed it while doing a Mindfulness workout. I checked and it's doing the same thing in the Relax app.

More information:
* I signed out of the app, rebooted my phone, cleared the cache and signed back in but the issue is still happening
* I have rebooted my Charge 4 multiple times but that did not help
* my heart rate is showing up on the Charge 4 during the Mindfulness session and shows up "live" in the Today section of the phone app immediately before and after the Mindfulness session, but does not log in the session

I finally found where Android moved the app update info to and my Fitbit app was last updated on June 23. I last got heart rate data from a Mindfulness session on June 22 so it sure looks like that app update broke the Mindfulness heart rate feature. The app version is 3.43.1

Ok gang. I hope I have the solution to all your issues. Easy fix!!!
I'm a 68 years old fitbit charge 4 user from Australia.
I also had the same issues. Heart rate was logged a couple of times but not consistently and then...nothing. Same message as everyone else. make sure you are wearing it etc.
Ok. What to do... Even though it will say no data recorded for the session, it actually has been. To find it go into the mindfulness section and slide across to 'Your Journey.'
There you will see the log of all your sessions. There will be a heart rate symbol ❤ showing but no numbers.
Touch the ❤ symbol on your phone screen and the session heart rate details will be shown and when you use the 'back' arrow that session will have the recorded info displayed. touch all the other ❤'s on the other sessions and they will appear.
This worked for me and I only found it by mistake.
Hope this helps. It's been very frustrating until now.
Cheers Alan R.

Mine will state no data was recorded but if I go out of the screen then back in, it shows it!

The app has not updated on my phone, but something happened on July 20 - my mindfulness session that day recorded heart rate and it also went back and filled in the heart rate on all the earlier sessions all the way back to when it had stopped on June 23. So it looks like the data was on the Charge 4 and the app wasn't picking it up for some reason.
