When will this be fixed? Its been over a year and now I'm thinking of ditching my Fitbit.
If I give it to a family member and they take over my account or I disconnect the device from this account and create a new one for them?

I note that phone is still not on the list of supported devices at www.fitbit.com/devices and if it hasn't been added after a year I don't suppose it's going to change any time soon. Unfortunately, fitbit don't like to share their plans so we can't know for sure.
If you do decide to pass it on then the best thing is for them to set up a new account as it will step them through setting up the profile (age, height, weight etc). Before they do so, go into your phone's bluetooth settings and remove the connection to the fitbit as this may block connection to their phone. It's also worth checking that their phone is on the supported list.
Got a different brand, rhymes with Varmin 😉
It actually recognises I have a Huawei phone and prompts me to update the firmware to avoid sync issues 🙂 All good now. The Charge 2 is going to my Dad.
Best AnswerI emailed to fitbit & they asked me to reset my both fitbits (Charge 2 & Charge HR). Which I did & also resetted my mobile WiFi network. Now both of my fitbits are synchronising with my mobile (Huawei Honor 8X). I hope this helps. Thank u.
Best AnswerMy phone got a Google security update so I decided to try syncing my Charge 2 again.... and it worked!
Anyone else with an Honox 8X please try syncing again.
