Hours Moved is wrong after daylight savings

Hello all,

I've seen quite a large number of forum posts about this, going back five years, but most of them seem to assume that your phone and/or Fitbit are showing the wrong time and/or timezone, which is not the case for me.

- The time on my phone and my Fitbit are both correct (e.g., both show 3:20pm, which the correct current New Zealand time).

- The timezone on my phone and my Fitbit account are both correct (GMT + 12 hours / NZ Standard Time)

- My Fitbit itself reminds me to move between 7 am and 3 pm, which is correct. That is, the reminders have automatically changed to suit the fact that Daylight Savings has now ended in New Zealand.

- If I do my 250 steps in each of those hours, my Fitbit buzzes to let me know I have 8/8 hours, and if I manually scroll, it also says 8/8.

So basically, the Fitbit itself has adapted very well to the change in daylight savings.

However, despite all of this, if I open the Android app (or the web dashboard), they both show that I missed an hour - it seems to be incorrectly treating 6 am - 7 am as being 7 am - 8 am.

It looks like this is something Fitbit have known about since the early days, so I'm not overly optimistic that there's a reliable fix, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask!

Hi @BrettCRAkl, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delay in responding your post.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for all the details that were shared, seems odd that the reminders to move are wrong despite your time and reminders to move settings are correctly configured. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device are you using? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try the following steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks for responding, no worries, everything is pretty chaotic at the moment!

It actually came right on its own after a few days (about 5 days after the timezone change)
