I can't figure out how to add a recipe to my food tracker. I was hoping to be able to make a soup or something and add all the ingredients in the app in order to have an accurate count of fat/carbs/protein/etc. I need step-by-step instructions because I can't figure it out lol.

Welcome on board, @britbarlow.
I've moved your post to the Android App board so we can keep the forums organized. Thanks for sharing this information with us and let me help you out. Before anything else, I'd like to explain that the Fitbit app doesn't have an option to log your own meal. I understand how useful this is for you and what you can do is log your homemade meal from the website by doing the following:
In addition to that, I'd recommend supporting this idea posted in the Product Feedback board by adding your vote. That way our development team can keep tracking this request over time.

Apparantly the online dashboard is going away. How can this be done in the app?

In the app, go to the Food section, select the plus sign in the upper right, choose "Custom" tab, select "+ Add Custom Food", enter the info about the custom food and save. You can then choose your custom food from plus sign in upper right and "Custom" tab, adjust the serving amount, and pick whether breakfast, lunch or dinner.

You will need to enter the information about a serving of the recipe rather than entering all the ingredients of the recipe. Most recipes online give number of servings and the nutrition details for a serving. FYI, when you are on the screen to enter details about the custom food, there is a slider that says "Simplified View". I just use the simplified view and only enter calories per serving. If you want to add more nutrition details per serving, flip that slider and you will get the "Detailed View" where you can enter carbs, fiber, etc.

Thank you for responding but there is a difference. On the dashboard when creating a meal i can enter the amount of ingredients. For example, 100g of chicken and 50g of rice. Then the meal will add up the nutrition information associated with those ingredients.
However in the app. I will need to look up the nutrition information for each ingredient, add it up myself outside of the app. Then i can enter it into the information. In addition in a year or 6 months, I will need to remember "somehow" that this is for 50g of rice not 40g since the app doesn't record amounts.
For example, often i will add my chicken and rice meal, then when it shows up i can click on rice and see that it added 50g. But was a little different and i can change it to 40g of rice as needed. Easy.
Without this feature and if the app method is the only one available. I will have look up every ingredient in the meal again add them up again outside the app and create a new meal again. That's worse than excel. Why use the app at that point for macro/calorie tracking?
The reason I am being specific is that this is an important feature of the online dashboard that i use all the time... when it goes away i really need the app to support this feature. Currently, it does not. I wish it did.

Hi there, @chacec. @PeaceLily Thanks for stopping by to help our members.
As you may know, the web browser will no longer offer access to the Fitbit.com dashboard after July 8, 2024. I understand how useful this platform is for you, specially when logging custom food and I appreciate your feedback regarding this change.
While this feature isn't available on the Fitbit app, I'd encourage you to share this idea in the Product Feedback board. This is the best way to get the attention of our developers as well as the support from other members. To learn more about this board, visit our FAQs.
