I just bought a Fit Bit (Inspire 3) and downloaded the app.
The only options were sign in with Google or Sign in with Fit Bit.
However on the app there is no option to make a Fit Bit account (my Google account is a workspace account so it would not let me).
I went to the web site to use the live chat but I needed an account to be able to log in.
It just seems utterly bizarre there's no option for new users to be able to create an account.
I also wasn't able to find a place online where I could create an account either.
Am I missing something obvious?

Hello @berus44 and welcome to the Community. At the risk of sounding silly, I thought you needed a Fitbit account to post on this site. How did you get to this site? Can you log in on the mobile app page with those credentials?

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.

@LZeeW Thanks for your input. True, you need an account to post in the community. You can indeed use the same credentials for the Fitbit app.
@berus44 Welcome to the forums! Thanks for your post about the Fitbit account and the explanation. As @LZeeW said, your Fitbit community profile is also your Fitbit account. You can tap on "Sign in with Fitbit" and use the same email address and password you used for the community.

This is affecting my wife as well. I have had a Fitbit account (using my Google Workspaces account as the email address) for 5 years, which is what I am using to search for possible solutions, and am now using to comment on the bad experience she is having. But my wife, who also uses a Google Workspaces account for all things, cannot use the Fitbit app using the Google Workspaces account, and cannot create/use a Fitbit account that uses her Google Workspaces email address either. We are close to returning the Fitbit and buying a more expensive solution, like an Apple watch, just because Google seems to keep breaking their own users experiences.
