I would like to change the messaging app to WhatsApp. I have a Samsung Android phone. Can this be done?

@PDXGRL59 Welcome to the forums. I will gladly help you set up the WhatsApp notifications. 

Here you have detailed instructions on how to set up notifications altogether: . You have two options to set WhatsApp notifications up. Open the app, tap on your profile picture and then on the name of your device to enter the settings. Tap on "notifications". There you have the option to select the app for "text notifications". There you can select WhatsApp as the default app for text notifications. If you wish to receive both SMS and WhatsApp messages on your device, you can also leave the messaging app as the default app for the text notifications and activate WhatsApp notifications under "app-notifications". These two options will enable WhatsApp notifications to be shown on your device.
