How do I stop notifications once I've read?

I get the text on my Alta but how do i get it to stop notifying me once a read it?

Welcome to the Community @Juditeacher! I hope you're doing great! 

Let me help you out, I recommend performing the restart 2 or 3 times in a row make sure to follow the instructions that @CindyFitbit shared. Then setup the notifications again take a look at the video attached on this article in order to get the notifications enable.

I'm not having a problem getting the text on my Fitbit the problem is once I read it I double tap it Fitbit keeps vibrating once I read it how do I get it to stop vibrating
