I accidentally deleted mobiletrack. How can I get it back?
I have already a device so this doesn't work for me: If you already have a Fitbit account, log into the app and tap or click the Account icon (). Choose the option for setting up a new device and follow the MobileTrack instructions.
I have a Alta HR.

I have the same problem with a Google Pixel 3 phone, which is on the supported phones for MobileTrack.

Same problem with my Note 9. Anyone have a solution ?
Fitbit states mobile track is supported for Note 9 (link above), but clearly it isnt. Fitbit, can you begin support or correct your website ?

@DDRod619 not all options are supported by phones on the supported list. Mobile track depends on if the phone has the supported hardware. A supported phone is one that has been tested to work with asany features that can be supported with the phone.

Mobile track is so that the phone may replace your Fitbit tracker, according to the device list. mobiletrack should be availible on the S-10

So i had faced the same problem in my versa 2. I did unpair of mobile track by mistake and was trying every ways to get it connected again. What I did finally was I started a gps walk in fitbit moile app and walked a few mins and turned off the bluetooth still the gps walk was on. So my logic was if the blutooth connection disabled, the mobile should still track the activity. As I thoought after finishing the walk, I checked the added device, I see the Mobile Track now! Not sure this is a 100 percent solution, but you can sure give a try 🙂

I know this an old thread, but can anyone confirm that they were able to add MobileTrack in addition to their Fitbit tracker? I saw a post that said that if you already have a Fitbit tracker, you can't add MobileTrack in Android, but it works with iOS.

I had the same issue on samsung s20 plus, however if you go to the exercise tab and add a walk choosing tracker, it brings up a timer page. Once you end the walk it logs your exercise and steps and then show mobile track as an added device..... always a work around somewhere 🙂

This did appear to do the same for me. However it says linked to another device. I thought it might be related to Strava integration.
I have the same issue as everyone else though. Cannot add MobileTrack on Android 10 (OnePlus 6). Very annoying as I want to consolidate my fitness information somewhere and Google Fit seems to have been abandoned so there's no other app that can count steps etc and have all the other intonation

Hi, it showed as another device for me to but I don't have any others or strata and it did log my walk so guess it kind of worked for me 🙂

It will log the walk as you record it but does it log steps in the background?

I have the sams issue and was able to add mobile track again by starting a training. Unfortunately, it does not count the steps in the background.
Really frustrating that there is no correct way to add mobile track again when it was removed.
My wife has the exact same phone and mobile track works like a charme. So this is not an issue of phone compatibility.

@Ardar, without knowing the phone model, it could be your Fitbit app settings. Does your Fitbit app have permission to run in the background? Also you will want to move the app to the background before the phones screen turns off.
Letd look at the Android Tips.

@Rich_Laue, thank you very much for your respond. I checked that my wife and I have both the same settings on our phones and fitbit has permission to run in background.
On my phone, the Mobile Tracker had a note "connected to another device" and I think when this is the case, it does not work correctly with counting steps.
However, after deleting the cache of the app, the app data, uninstalling the app, rebooting the phone, re-installing the app and so on another time, i was able to add the Mobile tracker as it should be. So, I am happy that it seems to work for me now.
I guess that somehow, the removing of the Mobile Tracker just does not work correctly in the app. The Mobile tracker is removed, but the app still has saved that the mobile tracker was added once and therefore, it is not available in the list of devices and can not be added, again.
And then, when you start a training, the "Mobile tracker - connected to another device" is added automatically with the "limited functionality".
As there are others who seem to have similar problems, maybe you / the development team could investigate the issue by trying to reproduce the problem: remove the mobile tracker in your app, start a training to let the mobile tracker automatically be added and so on and check, if you can add the mobile tracker again the "normal way" and see it in the list of available devices.
As a phone, I have used a LG G8S Thinq with Android 10. The only connected fitibt device is currently an Aria 2. But i would guess this is not related to the phone hardware.
For me, the problem is reproducable and it is not related to phone settings.
As it works for me now, i am looking forward to receive my pre-ordered Versa 3 this week 🙂

When I navigate to "Set up a Device", the "MobileTrack" option is not listed at the bottom of list. My phone and operating system is listed as compatible device on the Fitbit website when visiting the MobileTrack Help section. I formally had MobileTrack enabled, so it should work with my phone.
This thread appears to be of little help.
It goes like this...
Poster: My phone formally had MobileTrack and now it doesn't.
Richard Lane: Your phone never had it.
Poster: I visited Set Up Device and MobileTrack was not an option listed.
Richard Lane: Visit Set up Device and click MobileTrack.
It appears to just be one user gaslighting a bunch of people in need of help telling them that everything they are seeing and experiencing is wrong. Very strange.
