How to fix syncing issue Charge 2 and Google Pixel 2XL

Alright, so for the past month my Charge 2 would no longer sync with my phone.  Went through all the instructions posted by Fitbit on this community. Those instructions were completely worthless.  I always got to the part where I entered in the 4 digit pairing code and then nothing would happen. Rustymutt posted in another thread here that he synced to another device and then went back to his android phone and it would then pair and sync.  So I downloaded the Fitbit app for an Ipad and synced my Charge 2 with it.  Then went back and added a new device to my Fitbit App on the android phone.  Low and behold it worked!!!  Thanks for nothing Fitbit.  I'm using this one till it dies and never buying another one again. Hope this helps few folks.
