Does anyone know how can I  get the average sleep Hours back where it was I find the fitbit sleep score totally  useless. I had 5 hours 40 min sleep got a sleep score of 82 rated good "what the ?" How could that possibly be a good nights sleep!!!.  I just want to know my average hours for the week back where it was instead of the useless sleep score.

I too absolutely hate the new sleep format with the sleep score.  I only want the hours and data of sleep stages instead of having to go digging for data that previously was accessed all at one glance.  The sleep score is useless.

I HATE the sleep score!  I want to see my average sleep time. Time is an absolute, the score is COMPLETELY useless to me!!  It’s like someone else’s opinion of how I should feel when I wake up. I can’t believe a group of designers got together and thought this was a good idea!  Stupidest idea yet!  Quit assuming I want YOUR opinion and stick to the facts.

The sleep average was probably one of the most useful pieces of data
provided. The sleep score is meaningless to me

Nicely said. I’d love to give whoever thought this was a good idea, a piece of my mind - but I need all the pieces! lol

Great reply, but they will not listen to you.

They don't have to. Corporate history has a plethora of examples of firms who ignore the needs of their clientele. That renders short term losers (people who've already bought the product like myself) and long term losers (the firm) because competition will provide alternatives. More importantly trust comes on foot but leaves by horseback and this firm just lost mine. I'm switching to Garmin.

Mark, great message, I agree. Someone else's subjective sleep score is not useful info, but the build up of average sleep time over the week was. I can still see it for about 1 second while my device syncs but it's one day out of date.

You should should read as to what the compliant is actually about before weighing in. The complaint is that the week average is no longer directly available. The compliant is not that the data is gone but the majority of users do not want to go calculate the average every week!

I have a Fitbit Charge 2 i.c.m. a Motorola longer phone.

The instructions you have provided are NOT applicable in my situation. There are no arrows in the Hours Slept screen, only a  resize icon [ ]. Using that does NOT provide the average number of hours slept.

I am very close to ditching this brand and purchasing Garmin, never to return!

No need to be rude.

I would also like to see the avg sleep hours and not the sleep score please

Best Answer

Please log another request for a change back or least an option to change the display back to average time slept.  That is the only snapshot view that matters to me. As a 4 year Fitbit wearer I frequently referred to that stat on the sleep screen and now mostly ignore it as a feature.

Same for me!

This shows sleep within a week. Having average house in base view allows you to compare weekly averages. I would like to request the ability to configure whether or not to show sleep score or average hours by week. Sleep score is always 0 for me since I am in afib.

I honestly don't think that by writing here what we want it would be enough for the devs to really think about it and take it seriously.
I think we should all go and vote for these two Feature Suggestions:

you can also get a weekly average in the 7-Day summary. You go to settings and then it's like where you set your goals. But I still absolutely hate this layout I want May average back and I wanted to track my average they liked how you could scroll down and see this week's versus last week's. And my current work around only lets me see this last seven day. Not even a week like Monday-Sunday. please fix this and stop forcing random features on us you can add things don't take stuff away I'm really fed up with this new app and would not buy another Fitbit in the future.

From what I've read it sounds like Google might be acquiring Fitbit, whether that will address this issue is anyone's guess though.

Best Answer
Likely not. Alphabet (Google) is notorious for ruining hardware companies it acquires and I'm sure FitBit will be no different. I predict in about 2-3 years Alphabet will abandon any new products created and we'll be all stuck with lemons (not that we aren't already for some models).
