Does anyone know how can I  get the average sleep Hours back where it was I find the fitbit sleep score totally  useless. I had 5 hours 40 min sleep got a sleep score of 82 rated good "what the ?" How could that possibly be a good nights sleep!!!.  I just want to know my average hours for the week back where it was instead of the useless sleep score.

cannot install sleep average anymore.

Actually I already confirmed it. But here's food for thought...if you install the Runtastic tracker app, you can set up your Fitbit on that app after this offer goes through. If they don't sell to Google, there are others who are eager to buy out the Fitbit Corp. Apple being one of them. And another in the running is Nike. They might offer the most since they currently are not in the tracking business but if they're anything like they've been with the sporting goods and clothing industries, they might be the company in the best position to add some competition to Google and Apple. If Apple gets the nod...that would also be an improvement over Google in my thinking. https://www.fool.com/investing/2019/09/25/3-companies-that-could-acquire-fitbit.aspx

Agreed. NOT A FAN OF SLEEP SCORE at all. Seems very random. I miss the hours average. 😞

The sleep average was the main reason I had the Fitbit to track my amount of sleep during the week to compare to other weeks and now I can’t do that! I’m so upset that the app changed like this. I liked it way better before. Nobody wants this sleep score. It means absolutely nothing to me and doesn’t make any sense. I want my averages back!

I have a Charge 3, and I can see my weekly time slept scores by going to Community and clicking on Feed. Then I click on the icons to the right of “What are you up to?” Then I click on the Sleep tile, and I can see the weekly time scores for sleep as they appeared before the update to sleep scores. I can scroll down to see my weekly averages.

@suegee1  Thank you!!  This helps a lot, I can see it there too.  I like seeing it in that format.  (I also have a Charge 3.)

Glad it worked for you! I should have written that it is weekly average hours that can be viewed and not scores. This is the feature that many of us have missed since the switch to sleep scores.

I have a Charge 2, and using the Android app, those steps still give me a sleep “score” average and not the average number of hours slept during the week. If I use the app on my iPad, I do get the average number of hours slept during the week.

It would be nice if we didn’t have to jump through hoops to get the information we used to get in a quicker and easier way...and it would be nice if the same features were offered on Android devices as are offered on iOS devices.

I agree! Sleep Score no use at all - bring back sleep hours!

Same here, @PaulaBar!  So we will need to wait for a fix for this sleep score. Yes, other apps are using it...but that doesn't mean I need to know it. We'll see what happens once Google transitions to this app in 2020!

What is a tile on the app? is that the initial display? Please explain fuily because I judge my sleep "quality" by hours that FItbit tells me I am actualy asleep. vs. overall time. Which I would challenge be because sometimes I lie there TOTALLY AWAKE to test the app but not moving my

wrist with the fitbit band and keeping my heartrate low. Hey. blame the cats!

What the F(udge) is a file? it it on the logon app initial display? when you plus to the info? Either way swiping is giving me nothing for sleep hours vs "quality". I don't want someone's interpretation of my "quality". Are we listening Fitbit? because I am going to post-post-post about this frustration.

They are NOT listening and I don't think Google will either. We need to
move to another platform.

Tiles are the square icons. I have a Charge 3 and my Fitbit app is on an IPhone 7.

If I click on “Community” at the bottom of the “Today” screen on my IPhone on the Fitbit app, it takes me to a screen with 3 categories to choose from at the top : Feed, Friends, and Groups.

If I choose “Feed” I go to a screen that has posts from all the groups I have joined. Just below the Options of “Feed, Friends, and Groups” it says “What are you up to?”

If I click on “What are you up to?” I get to a screen that has 10 square tiles. Above them it says “Share your latest achievement”

Each tile has a symbol: an aqua scale for weight, a grey fork and knife for food, etc. The tile for sleep has a navy crescent moon.

When I click on the sleep tile, I can see a weekly summary of hours slept, which is much like the old way it was displayed before the update to sleep scores. I can scroll down and see the hours slept for each day, and the totals for each week. I can also see time awake, time in deep sleep, in REM, etc. for each day.

I much prefer this to the sleep scores, which nearly always tell me that I suck at sleeping!

As I have an android 5 phone I am stuck with version 3.4.1 of the app.  If I go into community it crashes. Same with discover, if I attempt to look at some items it crashes.

My mistake not to say I was on an iPhone, but we are both suffering, no matter the platform! And it is just that I am unhappy that this was decreed as the metric we would receive, and not be given the choice of how we want to measure our sleep (much less that I disagree many times with my sleep score values).

Thank you so much. So NOT on the fitbit app on the phone but going to fitbit.com.  Now I get "tiles". thx!

I will be looking for a new watch to replace my Fitbit Ionic which is now useless to me without the ability to see my weekly average hours of sleep, and scroll through data from previous weeks. Fitbit has also removed all my past data so now when I scroll I get the meaningless and useless giant 'sleep score' number. Once again a decent app has been dumbed down and rendered useless.

You must be due for a cellphone upgrade soon. I had issues with my mom's iPhone 5, too. Hopefully, your wait isn't too long for your next phone. Any older iPhones or other \Cellphones that can no longer handle the upgrades go a little wonky from time to time. That's where an upgrade is completely useless! keep us posted when you upgrade your cellphone...problem solved then!
