Does anyone know how can I get the average sleep Hours back where it was I find the fitbit sleep score totally useless. I had 5 hours 40 min sleep got a sleep score of 82 rated good "what the ?" How could that possibly be a good nights sleep!!!. I just want to know my average hours for the week back where it was instead of the useless sleep score.

My app updated yesterday. I didn't have average sleep hours.
I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. I had average sleep hours back - for a second - then back to the sleep score.
Ah well.

I agree fully. I just want average hours. The ”algorithm” is simply not good enough.

Nope. Regrettably the above advice does not work... (the current app does not feature that option).
So, please. Please. Let us have hours back. Let those of us for whom the ”sleep score” is pointless opt out. Please.

Another vote to see average sleep time instead of sleep score please

Eventually, after my Fitbit stopped recording my sleep properly after an update on 24th July and loads of attempts by the Fitbit team to fix it, I went onto Fitbit.com and changed my minimum and maximum heart rates to 30 and 220. It has worked perfectly since 4th December when I made the changes.

I speak as someone who suffers from insomnia who's trying to use Fitbit to gather information. Your reply doesn't take into consideration days when someone doesn't sleep at all for a 1 day period. I had to manually enter a Saturday log with only 10 minutes sleep (lowest value it will accept) which it shows as 0 minutes sleep for that 24 hour period.
I received fitbit as a Christmas gift and started using it on Thursday December 26th. I continued using it through Saturday when I got 0 minutes of sleep. The average sleep hours it calculated used only Thursday and Friday when calculating the value.
When it does it's average sleep hours, it won't use a day in the calculation that has a value of 0 minutes slept for that day.

Sorry, but your explanation doesn't hold water. Even when I manually enter a day with 0 minutes of sleep, it is NOT being used in the Average Sleep Time.

I find sleep score to be a useful feature, and my guess is that this is the case for many people. But we are expressing here that sleep score is NOT the data that's of primary interest. Sleep HOURS is our primary interest. We want the default sleep view to show the Hours Slept bar graph, and "Last Week Sleep Hours avg". Sleep score is useful to me, but only as an enhancement to the understanding I gain from viewing my sleep hours history.
I'm sure the sleep score feature represents a significant development effort. Your team must be proud of it. As a web developer, I understand. I deal with UI issues every day. But if I ever changed default behavior in an interface without warning based on my own priorities, and the users disliked the change, and I refused to back it out or modify it to meet their requirements, I would likely lose a customer. When your company decided to prioritize the new sleep score function I think it failed to take into account the high level of user frustration that results from unwanted changes to core functionality. And this change is unwanted.

@DaveCorsthat was a good comment. I think the problem I have with the sleep score, there is no explanation of how it is calculated unless you want to pay for primary. I look at the score, the number of hours I slept, and how I felt about the sleep when I wake up. It's not consistent for me to be of value. What it comes down to is that I like the watch. I'm not liking the app as much as I used to (the same problem I had with the last watch I tried). Depending on what direction Google/Alphabet takes this in, I don't have a loyalty to stay with this watch.

I don’t find this helpful . I want to see my average sleep hours per week. I want to see how l am doing each week. The sleep score idea is not helpful to me. I am extremely unhappy with this change. I find sleep score useless as well.

Hi,
I have found a simple work around that gets the Average Hours Sleep back on the Android App.
First see image 1, average hours are not there...
Go back to the dashboard, and on the right of the sleep row, click the + (circled in red)
Do NOT log any sleep, just click the back arrow in the top left of the screen (circled in red)
Click on the middle of the Sleep row again, and magically the average sleep hours are visible!
You must do this each time to see it however!

Yesterday average sleep hours was listed next to my sleep icon, today it shows average sleep score, I know I can go in to sleep category tonight see average hours slept this week, 3 mos and this year BUT us there a way to view the average sleep in the main screen next to icon? I like to compare weeks not just this week to the full year.

I can now see average sleep but it's a pain to get to - it was much better on the main sleep page. Sleep score is pointless
