I'm complaining here: this phone is apparently not supported. How this is fathomable I don't know. Latest smart phone with latest fitness tracker all using latest Bluetooth technology.

@TwistSplice I hope you're doing well! Thanks for your feedback. It is currently not listed. However, have you tried to set up your Ionic using that phone?
I have a Moto G4 which is also not listed, but I was able to set it up, use most of its features, and sync. Of course, there are some features that doesn't work well, like the "Do not Disturb" feature, but that is because it is not fully supported. You should try!
If that is not working, try using a computer or a different mobile device for the moment until that model gets supported!
Keep me posted!

I tried, it just keeps getting hung up.
I'm just trying to figure out why the most modern equipment can't all talk to each other? There are just so many limitations on this thing that it seems almost like I've taken a step back in time.

I have an HTC 10 running Android Nougat and although that's not on the list of supported devices either it works fine with my Ionic, allowing me to download and install the latest update in around 20 minutes, and successfully synch with the tracker.
When you say "it just keeps getting hung up" what symptoms are you getting and what steps have you already taken? More information might enable someone to identify the issue and provide a solution.

Hi,
My mobile with bandwidth 384kb/sec. The fitbit app always shows there is no internet connection.
I am using a HTC U11 mobile.
Is there any solution?
Thanks.
Regards,
HK Chang

Any update on this? I have the u11 and I can't get my ionic set up on it. It finds the device but then won't connect and times out. I'm at a loss as to how these would not be compatible!
Please help, I'll try any suggestions.
