Huawei Nova 2 compatibility

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Bought an Fitbit Versa and I was so exited. Until I wanted to install it. It will not pair with my Huawei Nova 2 smartphone .. It won't make connection to my WiFi, it won't synchronize, it won't do anything at all. Now I read that a lot of Huawei users have this problem. Will it be solved? Otherwise I will send my Versa back to the seller.

Hey there, try this as a possible fix. On your phone go into settings and there should be a section for location services. Go into it and there should be a button in the top right corner (3 dots), press it and it should give an option for advanced settings, press it. There should now be a checkbox for Bluetooth background scanning, clear the box. Restart your phone after this and try setting up again.

Also make sure your WiFi has a 2.4GHz band enabled as the Versa won't work on a 5GHz band.

From what I have heard from Huawei the reason for all of the problems people have is a bug in their Bluetooth stack that they are still trying to fix but is taking a long time as it affects all of their phones 🤔

A warm welcome to the Community @ALIES and @SunsetRunner thanks for stopping by.

I just want to let you know that I have moved your post from the Versa board to the Android app board. since I think that here you will be able to find more answers related the Fitbit app.

As you might know by now, in order to connect successfully your watch with your phone, it needs to be a compatible mobile device. Our team is hard working in testing the compatibility of several phone and it might take some time to add a new, but you can always keep an eye on the list for any update.

Remember that you can try to pair your Versa with a compatible device by following the instructions provided in the How do I set up my Fitbit device? article. Once you setup your watch, just download the Fitbit app to your phone, log in to your account and see if it syncs. You won't be able to synchronize your watch, or receive notifications, etc., until it is paired.

If you need anything else, let me know. Robot Happy
