Huawei P20 Lite issues with syncing

Hi

I'm guessing this one has already been answered somewhere but too many posts on here to find the one I need.

 

I've got a Huawei P20 Lite and have just been given a Fitbit Charge 4 as a gift.

The tracker itself is great but I have problems syncing with my phone - I'm also unable to update the tracker software.  The phone spends ages trying to connect and then times out.

I'd like to change the clock face etc. but can't as my phone just doesn't see the tracker!

 

Any ideas?

 

I've done the things suggested in the booklet for my phone - turning off restrictions etc.

The P20 Lite seems to require some special settings to work properly. Have a look at the following help file:

Yes tried all that, still doesn't want to connect.
My phone is showing a tick on the clockface that I've opted for but it hasn't changed on my tracker.
This is clearly because the phone isn't seeing the tracker.
Similarly I can't update the software because it just times out if I try to do that.
It's extremely frustrating!!
Will try Fitbit direct for advice.

I'm experiencing the same problems with my Charge 4 and Huawei p20 lite. I also followed all the steps suggested by Fitbit, without success.
