I just got my Fitbit Alta ... and am rather disappointed to find out that it won't sync with my phone. I had thought the P8 was compatible, but during setup, I was told my version of the P8 isn't compatible.
For now, I have synced my Alta to my laptop, but I would much rather be paired to my phone so I can make use of the text and call announcement features on this product.
Any idea when support will be added for my device?
Hi @KittiKat
Fitbit will not tell you whether they are testing the handset let alone when/if it will be added to the compatible device list. There are plenty of more popular handsets that are not on the list for example Moto Z, Z Play, Google Pixel, Samsung S8, HTC 10, OnePlus3, etc
You can think what chance your Huawei P8 has...
Fitbit are not maintaining Android device compability, most handsets on the list are generations behind current hardware.
The list has been static since at least March 2017; possibly months longer but I am not able to confirm.
