Inaccurate Speed & Distance, but Accurate GPS

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just recorded a bike ride with my Charge 3 connected to my Pixel 3 XL, and it seems the connected GPS did some weird things. My ride should have been close to 6.0 miles, but showed up as 6.33, and for a few parts of the ride, it shows a much higher speed than I was going (up to 38.5, I've never gone over 30 mph AFAIK).

However, the map doesn't show me moving anywhere I didn't go, so the locations seem to be accurate.

I have a similar but different issue. I manually record activities like hiking and I'm getting a wildly different distance on my Pixel 3 than the identical hike recorded on my wifes iPhone. this happens regularly. Fitbit says it is fully supported on Pixel 3.

Hello @niconyc.

I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for sharing those details.

In this case I'd like to ask some questions:

  • Did you track with both of the phones at the same time?
  • Was the Fitbit fully connected to your Pixel 3, or did you set the connection to start and then start the activity?
  • Also, were there lots of different trees or clouds that could've caused the connection to be unstable?

I look forward to your reply.
