As far as I know, procedure is just the same on Android and iPhone, other than maybe an occasional slightly different wording or such.  Have you tried and found something different?

Or is the issue that this is the first time you have switched phones?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Download fitbit app onto new phone from Google Play store.

Log in with same ID/email you have been using.

Go to Account page by tapping circular picture icon near top left.

Look for and tap 'Set up a Device'  and follow directions.

It actually is easier when switching phones.

On the old phone, if it is still nearby and on, Log out of the Fitbit app.

Install the Fitbit app on the new phone.

Log into your Fitbit account.

Since you did not remove the tracker from your account.

The app will ask for some permissions and then sync.

This works because a user does not setup a tracker to their phone, but sets up the tracker to their Fitbit account.
