Interval workout settings - how to bring back Rest option?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I removed "Rest" in the settings of Interval Workout ( by swiping it to the left ). How do I bring it back? There is nothing in the instructions below settings and not a single option to bring it back.

Somebody reported the same issue in August 2018:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Removed-quot-rest-quot-option-from-Interval-Training/m-p...

@LanuzaFitbit replied with an article which doesn't have an answer to that question.

Seems like another bug.

Hello @SunsetRunner.

I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for sharing your experience with the steps I shared.

I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on. Could you share some screenshots of what you see when you try to add that interval? That'd let me better understand the situation.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello @SunsetRunner.

Thanks for sharing that picture.

While not optimal, let's try to enable the rest interval through the website version of the Dashboard. Please follow these steps:

  1. Go into the settings on your account.
  2. There, tap or click on the picture of the Fitbit.
  3. Next look for the interval options and check the rest option.
  4. Scroll down and select the Save option.

Then it should be showing up in the mobile app version again. If it doesn't, try to log out and then back in to make sure that all of the information has been loaded from the servers again.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions.

@LanuzaFitbit it did work, however, I had to log off and on again. This workaround isn't a solution in my eyes. Fitbit should fix the app and add such tickbox in the app or at least, update instructions in the app and mention going to Dashboard in order to bring the Rest back to the app. Still, a need to log out seems to be also a buggy behaviour. Why is it so hard to add a tick box to the app? Or better, do not remove Rest from UI by swiping but make it a toggle button. Just on/off whenever the user wants. Seriously, nobody in Fitbit noticed there is something not quite right with this UI design? Sometimes I doubt the Fitbit employees use any of Fitbit hardware and software, hence they are not aware of such issues.

Thanks for letting me know that it did work. As I mentioned, it is certainly not optimal but it is a workaround to the situation.
