Is sharing things not possible anymore since latest app update?

Hey everyone,

since I downloaded the recent app update (ver. 3.44) for the fitbit app yesterday I can not find the sharing button anymore. I am still using the Charge 2 but the app should be the same for most devices.

Can anyone tell me if sharing has been changed somehow? Was it removed for older devices?

I'm sorry if this question sounds stupid but I do not find a way to share my dashboard, sleeping data or training except for in-app communities and only for the current day.

Please help me 🙏🏻

Fitbit in their infinite wisdom have removed the function which is a massive backward step imho

I used to share my daily stats with a  fitness group, but that's not possible any more without messing about with screen shots 😞

They really removed the sharing function completely? I can't believe it! 😡

Especially nowadays where everyone shares their experiences on Instagram, social media or with friends using messengers the sharing function is ESSENTIAL for any app.

I was about to get a new Fitbit device since my Charge 2 isn't working properly anymore but if they do not bring the sharing function back I will go for another brand. I'm not supporting this step backward.

Thanks for your reply, I really couldn't believe they removed sharing 😔

I just found out we can still share things, it's a bit different though and you can only share the dashboard, trainings, etc. of the current day.

When you go to "community" there's a field saying "What are you doing?", you need to click on it and choose what you want to share. You can choose other platforms like Instagram or messengers too, it's not only community where you can share your dashboard or trainings.

I still prefer the old way of sharing, especially because you could not only share things from the current day but also older dashboards or trainings.

Hope this was at least a little bit helpful 🙂
