Is the Galaxy A10 Compatible?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,  I've just bought a Samsung A10 and can't sync it with my Fitbit alta.  Is it compatible ? is there something I need to do to my phone to sync.  I previously has an iPhone and it was easy.

Thanks for any help

Welcome to the Forums @Jo2271.

Thanks for sharing that information and bringing this up.

In this case the Galaxy A10 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the syncing.

In the meantime, perhaps you could post about adding the A10 to the list of supported devices in our Feature Suggestions board. You can comment on it or vote for it to show your support for the idea. If you do visit that board, be sure to read the FAQ to better understand how that board works.

Let me know if you have any further questions. I hope to see you around in the suggestions board.

Has anyone connected to a device from a Galaxy A10?  None of the advice here is helpful.

No. I got a new phone, Galaxy A10 and haven't been able to sync by fitbit to it. It's a nightmare! I can't understand why it doesn't work. Is there any known way around it?

After about a month of having my a10 I did start getting notifications that messages were being received. Just said who has sent one no details. But calls do vibrate but it confuses it with the last caller so I think they are trying to sort it. Hopefully soon it will work fully

I can't get it to work at all. My fitbit app simply won't connect to my fitbit so although my fitbit will still tell me my heart rate and steps walked, I can't access this or monitor it though the app. My fitbit also went dead a few days ago and when I charged it up again the time was wrong on it but I can't even fix the time because it won't sync to the phone. It's basically worthless anymore. I think I might just have to get rid of it, which is a pity after spending the money on it.

I kept on going into my account  and then just syncing it every day and it just started working. Still doesn't show me the messages just who has messaged and the calls are usually not from who shows on it but I least I can see someone is trying to get hold of me. Maybe keep trying to sync and hopefully it will connect. I tried all the you tube advice too. Hope you get it working soon. Mine is just an alta so no heart rate on it

Do we know which 'fitbits' are compatible with Samsung A10

Hi

In all the messages I have sent within the forum 1 have never had a reply from a moderator. I have a case number with the Fitbit team about the Samsung Galaxy A10 and a syncing problem with my charge 2. Syncing worked perfectly until November 18th  when a new release occurred. Then it stopped syncing. I have never had anyone tell me about a suggestions board.

Hi.

The answer is yes. Synced perfectly from early October to November 18th. On that date late evening a new release update was done and it stopped my A10 syncing. I do not believe it is the phone but the release. Fitbit team say it was done to get rid of bugs and other problems. It has caused an additional set of problems with syncing.

Had the exact same problem, fine until the 18th November, they sent me a replacement charge 2, but the same problem, not syncing.

I've reported the issue to fitbit, but their attitude is to wait and see if the next update it becomes more compatible

Disappointed is a understatement.

Hi mattyjohn1993

I have never been offered a new tracker but I honestly  think the problem is with the update for the app. My A10 was working fine until they put the release out. The Fitbit team say it cannot be reverted back to the earlier version as the new update was meant to do bug fixes. Instead it has caused the problem with syncing.

The only reason I had a replacement was because I was still under warranty, I have now 2 Fitbit charge 2 devices, which do not sync to my phone.

However, this is funny, my partners charge 3 syncs to my A10 perfectly. Only just found that out.

Hi Mattyjohn1993

Do you know which fitbit version is on the various  A10 phones. Mine had an earlier one which worked but since Monday 18th November I have had version 3.10.1 which does not.

I noticed just now that there is a new update available.I have turned my auto update off for now so it has not yet been downloaded. I am truly wary of what will happen.

Hi mattyjohn1993

I updated a Samsung software download this morning.  Whatever was in it started my Galaxy A10  syncing with my Charge 2 tracker. It has been syncing all day.  Fingers crossed.  I am also on fitbit 3.11 release as of yesterday but that did not help with the syncing.

Thanks Samsung.

Sorry I didnt get a notification for your earlier message, (surprise, surprise)

But thanks for letting me know about the new samsung update.

I'll wait for my phone to update and then hopefully I am up and running again, thankfully you have been able to sync, hopefully your success continues!

After seeing these posts, I decided to try again, but for Alta HR it is still impossible to connect with Samsung Galaxy A10 (using most up to date software and app)

My phone still won't connect to my fitbit at all. It will find it and the code will show up on the fitbit screen but when I enter it on the app it just continues to say "connecting" for a long time and then fails to work.
