Hey guys, just like all the rest of you I wanted to smash my Ionic for not being able to get it to sync with my LG Stylo 4. I was so deperate I was just contimpating getting a new phone cause I loved the watch so much. Heres how I got it to work with my phone- I found this article in the Forums and thought- If it works for the Versa theres no reason that it wont work with the Ionic.
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/How-I-got-my-new-LG-Stylo-4-w-Oreo-8-1-to-finally-sync-w...
I followed the instructions to a T and it didnt work at first. So I thought that there might be left over files from when I tried the FAILED install the first 2,000 times. So I did a factory reset on my phone after backing it up to make sure any old Fitbit files were gone. I then did a factory reset on the watch as well. I then ran through the Check list on that page and slowly one thing/feature at a time started popping up on the watch. But what the Grand Wazoo's at Fitbit dont tell you is how many places you have to turn on the notifications in. First you have to turn them on in the Phone NOTIFICATIONS, then you have to turn them on in the FITBIT APP Notifications, then you have to go into the Watch Setting there as well. You also should turn on the "Always on Notifications" features every where you can find them. But the issue was pretty much resolved primarily from inside of the FITBIT App itself, NOT inside your phone.
I hope this helps people get up and running but right now I am being perfectly synced with my phone/account and every feature is working perfectly!
