Logged out of app and now all data is gone

I have an Charge 5 paired with a pixel 6 pro. Things were good till I logged out of the app to transfer to google. Which didn't work because it says my gmail is being used for another fitbit account? When I logged back into the app all my data was gone and my phone was no longer paired with my fitbit.

Log back into your account with your old email and password. 

Now you want to switch to a Google login. 

If you log out, you will be creating a new fitbit account, which you do not want to do. 

How do I move Fitbit to my Google Account?

Unfortunately logging back in with my old user name and password is where I'm missing my data. But you're right it looks like its a new account.
