Whenever I workout, Fitbit registers thousands of steps from my arm movements, even though I take close to zero steps. For the past 2 years I've been able to correct this immense step over count by logging a driving activity that overlaps the workout, but this stopped working this week.

Now my driving activity does nothing to change my workout ste

@Guy_ Thanks for your advice and help.

@JoaoB Good day to you. Thanks for reaching out about logging an activity to override the step count. I had never thought of overlapping an exercise that is not step based to override the step count. I just tried it and it worked for me. I tried it both on the app and the online dashboard (www.fitbit.com). Did you try it on the dashboard as well? I recommend you make sure that the Fitbit app is up to date and then try again. You can also try what Guy recommended and then log driving again to see if it works. It did for me.

Hi @JoaoB - make sure there isn't an app or sync problem. Remove the driving exercise then

Try Logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone.

Make sure there are no other devices running the Fitbit App switched on.

Restart the watch by holding the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.

Login and wait for any pair, link or Fixit prompts and sync. Then reapply the driving exercise.
