Lost dats after synching problems

After not using my fitbit blaze for a few months i decided to charge it and start wearing it. It didn't sync at first but i wore it for a week anyways. The time was incorrect but wasn't concerned.  I tried to fix the synching issue this morning. Put blaze Bluetooth classic into "pair". At first tried with the fitbit app. No luck. Tried repairing blaze from Bluetooth devices. No luck. Would not pair. Tried shutdown in blaze settings. No luck. Eventually turned off phone and blaze. Turned on  both. After that they were able to pair. It synced easily right after.

But after it synched on the app it showed no steps for the past week... Is that data gone for good?

Once it's synced then it's got all the data it's ever going to get. Rather than being lost though it's probably just not where you think it should be. If the fitbit was tracking but had the wrong date & time then that's the date and time it would have synced to. If it is there but in the wrong place I'm afraid it can't be moved to the right date and time.
