Macros and macro totals are incorrect on the App

When I enter and my food it shows a crackly. When I look at the totals it is highly inflated. For instance if I eat something that has 10 mg of vitamin a, when I go to the total screen it will show 10000 mg. It is doing that on all macro and micro nutrients.

I have the same problem.

Why do we have the nutrition section if it’s dangerous and inaccurate?

logging shakes or anything at all.

I’ll have total fat 3 but app says 40

sodium will say 200 but the app will say 600 to 1000.

this needs to be fixed or they need to remove it.

In the meantime are there any plans for concessions to Premium Subscribers?  That would seem fair considering one of the primary functions has been rendered totally & completely unreliable/useless & has been that way for a bit now. I'm approaching an annual renewal date & this issue makes that decision quite an easy one at this point.

Appreciatively,

How is the fix going for this? I'm still having the issue even with logging out clearing storage and cache

I'm having the same problem and am trying to track my sodium. I end up just putting in the number of servings even though it's not going to give me accurate calorie information. Then I track calories in another app. It seems wrong to have to do that. Any estimate on when this might be fixed?

I created a custom food for Black Olives Can (100g basis). Using detailed view I introduced all macronutrients detail.

But the can itself is 20g, so when I added this food on my day the calculated amounts should be less ...but they were higher??

In the 1st pic I created food, 2ndly I selected food changed amount to 20g, then checked Nutrition facts:

Fats, Cholesterol ...all have extremely high calculated values??

Has anyone else seen how terribly inaccurate the food items are on the 'log food' part of the app? Initially, I thought it would be great to just scan the barcode and log. But every food item seems to be wrong. This is frustrating and I think fitbit should be embarrassed. Anykne have any thoughts? I think fitbit should spend some time updating the items. Addtionally, put some controls in for quality checking peoples data entry. I would say the company is a little soft and lazy in that area.

Any updates on this? I am loving EVERYTHING about my FitBit except this. This data is crucial for some of us. Is there an ETA on a fix? I feel like this is a big enough problem I'd go elsewhere with a different device/tracker and I know others feel the same. I'd hate to go through that expense and hassle, but my health takes precedence. Not a threat, just explaining how critical this is to a lot of people. I'd MUCH rather stay here. Thanks, FitBit!

This seems to still be a problem. According to the nutritional information details, my 150g of chicken breast contain 3 kilos and a half of protein.

That is only in the nutritional info though, the overall maths in the summary seem right. It seems to be some math done wrong in the nutritional info page of the app (I'm using android).

I am having the same issues as everyone else w/the macros differing from the nutrients list.  I've attached a screenshot (I'm on a keto diet, so take that into consideration when you look at my numbers lol) fitbit macros.png

Is this issue resolved yet?  It's been a while. My vitamin percentages are showing in the millions.

Thank you.

MyFitnessPal is a lot more accurate when it comes to food tracking and database accuracy-you can log your intake on the MyFitnessPal app and link it to your fitbit account- syncs automatically after that

Is this issue ever going to be fixed?  49,000% Vitamin A.  I would be dead.

Hi — I just got a FitBit and see that this is still a problem. Any updates?

I stopped using my fitbit for food logging and switched to carb manager. it does sync the food w/fitbit, just not the water.

Today is April and the problem still exists. I have tried reloading the app and nothing changes. Perhaps there is an analogue to this? It seems to me that this is a temporary difficulty and the developers will solve this problem quickly. I like how the support service of the company on the website of which I study information. They quickly respond to comments.

Has this issue been solved yet? I have a condition where I have to consume a specific amount of sodium or I end up in the hospital. I loved relying on my Fitbit to monitor this, but with the inflated values (example. 230mg turns into 2697mg upon saving) I cannot trust this once very helpful tool. Does anyone have any insight?

This has been ongoing for so long, I'm guessing they are never going to fix it.

Can anyone recommend a more accurate watch?  Downloading and linking different apps has not worked for me. One device/one app really is the goal.

Thanks.

I STILL haven't heard anything other than the initial "we understand your
need..." & support trying to get me to repeatedly uninstall/reinstall
(which by the way was nothing but wasted, futile efforts. I hate that I was
driven to not renew the premium features (which I used quite often), at
least until the basic free features work.
