MobilRun not tracking properly.

Ok so I am not sure if I am using the features correctly or what, but I am having trouble using the run tracker through the fitbit app on android.  I have used it a couple times and it seemed to work ok, the past couple of days, however, it seems to be having issues.  I wear the FitBit Flex2 24x7.  I mapped out my run and know some of the major distance points and the last two runs it has not tracked my distance properly.  I have voice cues set up for each half mile, and when I get to a half mile point there is no cue.  I check the app and it shows my current location but the pink line that follows is nowhere near me and is only showing i have gone a .1 miles not .5.  Not sure what is causing the issue or what to do to fix it, just looking for some help.  I do wear my FitBit while a run, in case that changes anything.

Hello @gtorian, I'm glad to see you are visiting the Community again! With MobileRun is your phone's GPS who is tracking your location along with your running course. Sometimes the environment where you are exercising might affect the GPS signal since is require a direct path to the satellites in order to receive their radio transmissions. If the signal is being blocked it might be due to you're underground, surrounded of many tall buildings, or as a result of atmospheric effects too. Thus, whereas GPS gives you a more accurate measure of distance than step counting alone, the actual accuracy depends on both your environment and the weather.

You can try to Log out from the Fitbit app and restart your phone. Once your phone has loaded again go back to your Fitbit app and log back in.

As an additional note. In fact there is a difference if you use your tracker while you used the MobileRun feature. Since the steps, active minutes, and calories burned that you see on your Fitbit dashboard come from the tracker. Otherwise your phone is used to calculate this data.

Let me know if the issue persists, I'll be around.

The GPS location on my phone seems to always be working fine.  It always has my location pinpointed when i look at the map.   The issue I am having is that the pink line that follows you on the map, to track your path, does not keep up.  I have a path mapped out and know where my half mile points are and when i hit those the app will still show that i am only at .1 miles, while the map portion still shows my current location correctly.

this is not a screen shot from my phone but is exactly what is happening to me.  I found that it has been a issue in the past, so it worrisome that the issue is still there.

Hi there @gtorian, I'm sorry I haven't post anything recently lately. I've seen you share a screenshot but is not from your phone. In case the issue persist I would like to ask you a screenshot, but of your actual exercise to have a closer look and investigate better this situation.

I wonder also if this issue is happening while you are tracking your exercise or is happening after you have synced? One of my co-workers he use this feature and sometimes it present a delay to show his map course, but as soon he finished and syncs it takes a moment to compile the data and display the correct information.

Keep me updated, I'll be looking forward to your response.
