MobileRun + Workout workaround broken

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have the Charge HR but wanted to track my bike rides in GPS. I figured out a workaround in which I would track the workout as a run in the app as well as on the Charge HR, then change the workout type to Bike in the app. When I went back to the exercise list it would update the tracker-tracked bike ride with the map of the run, then I could delete the run.

Before:

Now, when I change the workout type to Bike, the speed gets updated in the list but the map does not. If I delete the Run, the Bike reverts back to not having the speed listed.

Now:

This workaround was a lifesaver since the Charge HR does not have GPS! Ideally, I would like the option to select Bike in the exercise tracking in addition to Walk, Run, and Hike. The current GPS tracking through the app is accurate enough for me, and I think Fitbit should allow users to decide whether the feature is accurate enough for them. The other option would be for this workaround to work again! Any tips for how to get it to sync the map again?

Hello there @Tiffany_G This is really interesting! Currently when you track a GPS activity with your app I'm telling this because it seems you're using MobileRun. Would you please let me know where did you get the option to rename the activity.

See you again!

Hi @VivisFitbit. I wasn't changing the activity in MobileRun. Instead, I was changing the workout tracked on the Fitbit from "Workout" to "Bike." After I changed it to Bike, it would update with the map from the "Run" tracked in MobileRun and I could then delete the Run. Now it won't update with the map. Can you please provide some insight on 1) why this workaround was taken away and 2) why Bike is not an option in MobileRun? Thanks!
