MobileRun is crashing at the end of the exercise

I am using the FitBit app version 2.69 on a Samsung S8 with Android 8.0.0 and Samsung software 9.0.

I just started using my FitBit again and I'm already remembering one of the reasons I stopped using it last time.

I have using the Activity Tracking function to track my walks.  During the exercise, it seemed to be working correctly.  However, the last two days, when I clicked to FINISH, I got a blank, white screen.  I could get out to the screen easily enough by closing and reopening the app or simply hitting the back button.  However, once I did that, the activity was gone.  I had to re-enter it manually from memory of the screen just before hitting the FINISH button.

In addition, I looked more closely today and found that although the activity screen told me I had walked 3.1 miles, the main screen had gone from less that one mile before I started to 4.7 miles after.  This means that one or the other is giving me incorrect information.

I stopped using the FitBit a while back because of continuing issues with the app giving me incorrect information.  I see nothing has change.  Please fix your bloody app!!

Hello @Dragainin, nice to see you back in the Fitbit Community and thank you for your feedback regarding the Fitbit app. Certainly the behavior your are seeing by tracking your exercise is not normal. However I'm wondering if at some point you paused your exercise? Note that there is a glitch affecting a limited amount of users when the exercise is paused.

If you haven't paused the exercise, perhaps resetting the app will do the trick: Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

About the distance, I've explained this in a different post that might be of your help. Please go to: GPS distance not added to my overall totals.

Rest assure we are working to improve the Fitbit experience. See you around!

@RobertoME

Yes, on the two days last week that the app lost my activity, I did pause it.  However, today I intentionally did NOT pause it.  At first it showed me my activity but just an hour later, it was gone.

As you can see the first pic, there is 1 hr, 26 min of activity.  I was tracking whilst I was cleaning so the steps appear minimal. In the second pic, that time is no longer appearing in the active minutes.

Hi there @Dragainin, my apologies for the late response and thank you for the screenshots and the additional details.

I see what you are experiencing now. Note that this behavior is normal. When you refer to active minutes this doesn't refer to your total time you were active doing exercise. Active minutes will reflect only those minutes you were more active or in other words, the moment were you able to maintain a high pace. As you mentioned, this activity was very light and the amount of steps appear minimal.

For more information about active minutes please refer to this help article: What are active minutes?

Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.
