MobileRun missing data after pausing - Android 2.43+

Fitbit Update: 9/26/17

Hello, everyone! I wanted to make it known that I haven't forgotten about this issue with MobileRun. Our team is aware of this ongoing problem, however, I don't have a timeline for when there will be a fix available. I understand many of you are frustrated with this feature, and I hope to give you all more information soon. Thanks for your continued patience!

Just to be clear, this thread is for the MobileRun issue for when you initiate a Run/Walk, if you 'Pause' your activity and then 'Resume' after you finish, you will not see your map or some of your exercise data. Alternatively, this does not happen if you 'Pause' and 'Finish' your Run/Walk right away.

Fitbit Update: 7/20/17

Thanks everyone for providing the information requested about this MobileRun issue. It appears since the Android app version 2.43, users who initiate a MobileRun on their devices and later pause it at some point will not have all the data saved when syncing afterward. This data can include the map and distance data.

I really appreciate your cooperation and patience while our team works towards a resolution. I know many of you have been active on this thread and I want to make sure you know all your input has been very helpful in determining the factors. I will continue to update this thread when there is more information available. Thanks again for your help!

That's it for me. After 6 months I have had my share of patience. It's like if Fitbit was laughing in our faces all this time.

Also, my 1 year old Charge HR got the band damaged and I was offered 50% discount on any new device. After trying to buy Ionic, I was told that the Terms & Conditions had changed and I could buy any device except Ionic. As I explained that I needed GPS enabled due to this issue I was offered a Surge.

I am now changing to Garmin which should provide me with meaningful data for my runs and without losing any map.

Yep, fully agree with your sentiments.
Laughing at us.
Don't care.
Not bothered.
Got our money, move on to next sale.
Well I may still be hanging on in there with a flawed device, but there will certainly be no more.
I'm done with them too.

Once my Fitbit dies I will go with Garmin as well. Some days it records my walks with the dog and I even get a map. Other days I have to manually log it in.

Has this been fixed in the latest update?

I've been having this issue just this week, when I started c25k. Couldn't work out why my walks were fine but my runs weren't until I found this thread. Yup, I pause fitbit, set c25k going, then resume.

Probably to no one's surprise, 2.57 does not fix the problem.

@teus1950 @GSDMOM4 This sounds like a different issue to that which is the focus of this thread.

Thanks for the heads up.
I don't have it yet.
What is it with these people?
No comment from them.
No fix.
Diabolical.
This is my Fitbit no2 and it's my last.
I'm still on 2.42 😞

No change for me... I can only plot the map and get results if I don't pause and resume.  I must NEVER resume.

Me too if I stay on latest app.
However...I just keep rolling back to 2.42 where everything works

Has anyone experienced their GPS map disappear after finishing. I think their is a glitch, this only happens when you pause your exercise the continue.

Please help!

This is a huge reason why i have a fitbit.

P.s. this just started doing that last week

@JblancoWhat you are now experiencing is what most of us are posting in this topic. You can never pause and resume.. Only pause and Finish

What version of the App are you running ? and if it is the latest, and now has just started for you, the Fitbit Engineers have tweaked something and affected you..

What phone do you have...?

@PiLesleyhas success with version 2.42.

Ha!
Hasn't worked since March and Fitbit not interested in fixing.
They have ignored this thread.
Yes, I just stick with 2.42, which is a poor solution as I miss out on all of the other enhancements.
But pause, continue works.
