MobileTrack Not Syncing

Since the update on 4/5 and any subsequent updates, MobileTrack is not syncing my steps into the app. 

 

I have reinstalled the app only to have it work in that session. The moment I close the app, it stops tracking. 

 

I have a Nexus 6p unrooted and at 7.1.2 with the may security updates. 

 

I have opened a ticket, but since I just saw another version come out and I still have the problem. 

 

Anyone else experiencing this?

 

(Step counter is working in the Google fit app)

I'm experiencing the same problem and I have a Nexus 6p as well, though not rooted, and it is the first day I have the app.
In my case, not only are new steps not being tracked consistently, but the ones that actually did get tracked seem to be gradually decreasing as the day progresses. Down to 1k steps when I was showing close to 3k steps 2 hours ago.

Very puzzled as to what is going wrong here.

I am hoping they go through their change log and identify what changed and undo it. 

 

It's unfortunate that minor updates caused this.
