MobileTrack doesn't support Pixel 2 XL

Noticed that MobileTrack support for the original Pixel devices was added in 2.62... and it only took an entire year since those phones were released.

Can't wait until next year when they finally support the 2nd gen phones.

Hello there @daschu117, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! Thank you for your feedback about the support of MobileTrack in the new Pixel 2 XL. Indeed at the moment this feature is not supported by this mobile phone and even us as moderators do not have a data of when this feature will be supported if is determined its compatibility.

With the original Pixel, this information at the moment is not correct. Our list of compatible devices shows this feature is supported but at is a feature not available yet in the original Pixel. We do not have an estimated timeframe when this information will be change, but I wanted to clarify this with you to avoid any confusion.

Nonetheless rest assure we are always working to improve the Fitbit experience and I appreciate a lot you have brought this to my attention.

See you around and stay tuned for more updates.

You would think by now FitBit would see that Google Pixel 2 XL would take off as alternative to Apple and Samsung. I am been a FitBit user for almost 6 years. Last year I purchased the Blaze, and now I $200 product will not function because I upgraded my phone. I am sadly disappointment in situation. I almost started looking into a different way into to track my fitness.  But, I hope FitBit realizes the importance of this.

Hi there @volleycoach22, welcome aboard to our Fitbit Community. Thank you for your feedback and I totally understand your point of view. Rest assure our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates.

Even us as moderators do not posses information of when a mobile device will be listed as compatible, but surely we see the Pixel that many users consider as a good alternative above other brands.

Speaking of the Pixel phone, something that I would like to update here, due to the reason I mentioned before the MobileTrack was giving issues with the original Pixel, despite it was listed as a compatible feature. I can confirm now this was corrected with the version 2.62 of Android and should be compatible now.

See you later and stay tuned if you have more feedback.
