MobileTrack sync issues, losing steps

I am using the Fitbit app (version 2.63) MobileTrack feature with my Pixel (Android 8.1.0) as the device. All permissions have been granted. I do not have a Fitbit tracker.

The app is counting my steps just fine. But if I compare my dashboard on the app to the computer, the computer count is less. All of my steps are not being reported to the "Fitbit cloud" and unsynced steps are carried over to the next day.

I do not see a way to force the app to sync. Troubleshooting steps like logging out and reinstalling sync the "Fitbit cloud" step count to the app, resulting in lost steps.

I was hoping to get a Fitbit with my employer exercise reimbursement program, but I need the MobileTrack working first.

As of about 18:30, the app dashboard shows 2124 steps. However, if I tap through to the individual day, only 221 steps are showing. The computer dashboard also shows 221 steps and was last synced at 09:25; 9 hours earlier.

I have a similar issue using my Pixel 3xl. I open the app it shows my steps and as I watch it I then lose 200 to 300 steps. For example I just opened the app it said 7945 steps for the day then jumped to 7415.
