Everyone -- Check out our list of supported devices here.
If your device is listed, you shouldn't have any issues setting up your tracker with your app on mobile. If it's not listed, I recommend setting up and syncing via a different supported device or using a computer as an alternative. Hope this helps to clarify!
Best AnswerIt's syncing for me for the first time today...

I did have some stress and no syncing for 6 hrs after it stopped again, until I figured out I needed to restart the tracker, via the paperclip down the little hole method to get rid of cant find tracker messages... Could have been a different issue though (low tracker battery).
All back to running syncing order now...

Yes: I have a Moto G
No: it doesn't work
Note that this is a very old post and refers to to original Moto G. I have since upgraded from the G1 to the G4 Play and this works fine. I have also seen reports that the G5 works

The G5 is not officially supported as it's not on the list at www.fitbit.com/devices but I have seen posts that suggest that it works fine.
G4 plus isnt working well. notifications and music control dont work.

I have a Motorola DROID MAXX 2. I don't see it as a supported phone anymore. It has worked fine since I started using my Fitbit on January 13 2017 and now it doesn't. Please help...
Thanks, Todd
I have the g5 and it is not compatible or working for me
Me too and am looking for another fitness device that is compatible. I believe Motorola wants us to buy their fitness device as it looks like Garmin isn't compatible with the g5 either.
Your list says Motorola g, but fails to mention g5 plus. My Alta synched well for almost a year, then quit receiving texts and calls and quit syncing. Purchased a new fitbit, but had the same results. My $20 generic tracker does it all.
Very disappointed.
I don't see how this is an accepted solution. I realize it's not Fitbit's fault but telling people to use a computer to sync is merely a workaround, not a solution. It seems odd that my Fitbit Charge HR 2 syncs just fine with my Moto 5 Plus but my wife's Alta HR does not. Unfortunately, my wife does not have a computer and only used her phone to sync. Her old HTC One M8 worked for 4 years with multiple trackers and never skipped a beat.
My wife and I have the Moto 5 g plus and they sync fine with her Charge 2 and my Blaze.

Best AnswerConsider yourself fortunate. To be clear, your wife has the Alta and not the Alta HR, correct? Not that it should make a difference but I'm just curious. I've read dozens of forum posts and it sounds like the Alta HR was pairing/syncing just fine with the Moto G5 Plus until the November 2017 OS update pushed out by Motorola. We literally just purchased the phone and I can't say whether or not it worked before running the update because I ran all the missing updates as soon as I activated the phone.
