Music Control on Blaze not working with Bluetooth Headphones connected

Hi all,

I've just upgraded from the iPhone 6S to Samsung Galaxy S8, all is good except for one thing, I cannot get my Blaze to control my music when using my Bluetooth headphone (or any other bluetooth device).

If no other audio bluetooth devices are connected it works fine, but if I connect my headphones (or speaker) then the Blazes flashes constantly between "Loading..." and "No Music", disconnect the headphones and all is good again.

I've checked in bluetooth and the Blaze (Classic) is connected, I've even put the Fitbit app in the don't sleep list and the issue happens whether the phone is locked or unlocked.

I have a case open with Fitbit who are blaming the phone/other device and Samsung blames Fitbit.

I'm really surprised because I would expect with the android being more open than apple that the experience would be more seamless, however it seems less so with this issue, needing the classic connection etc.

Anyone else had this issue and managed to work around it?

Many thanks.

Hello @trevrobwhite, good see you are visiting the Fitbit Community. My apologies for the late response to your concern that music control stop working  when your bluetooth headphones are connected.

In this case these interruptions are typically caused by operating system and Bluetooth limitations, for more details review our help article: Is the Fitbit app interfering with other Bluetooth devices?

Hope this information helps. Stay tuned if you have other questions.
