Welcome to the Fitbit Community @GailR ! Hmmm....this seems very strange to me my friend. Have you tried restarting your Flex already? It's still doing the same weird things?
If the restart doesn't work, I'd suggest setting up your tracker as a new device to see if that does the trick.
