I used to love my fitbit. USED TO being the clue here. I went on holiday. On return all my data had disappeared including that from the holiday. It has proved impossible to retrieve TWO YEARS worth of data. and I am so fed up with fitbit ever since it wen to google that I am going to go elsewhere for a new tracker.

Welcome to the community forums, @utbfitter.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, and every step that you've tried so far. I understand your frustration and let's try working on this together. Before anything else, I'd like to clarify that all the data synced to your account should stay there unless it is being manually deleted. I understand that's not your case and for that reason, may I know if you recall having created more than one account in the past?
It happened to me once, I logged out from my phone and when trying to log back in I used a different email address and set up my device thinking it got removed. However, I only needed to access my original account and sync my Fitbit device there to view my history. Assuming that's your case, I'd suggest verifying the email address by doing the following:
If by any chance you were using a different account, just log out and then log back into your account using the right email address.

@utbfitter once you log out, you will see an option to login with Google or log in with an email. This is the login page Lizzy is referring to.
Usually when history has disappeared it is because of logging in with the wrong email. Have you checked your saved passwords?
Have you switched over to a Google login? You may have switched a wrong account

Hi there, @utbfitter. @Rich_Laue Thanks for stopping by to help our member.
@utbfitter Thanks for trying the steps suggested above. If your account is already migrated to Google, you'll need to tap on the icon at the upper right corner. It usually shows the first letter of your name, and then you'll see the email address linked to your account. Please note that for accounts migrated to Google, it isn't possible to change the email address.
If you have another email that you may have used for Fitbit, try the steps from @Rich_Laue's post to log out and log back into the other account in order to see your historical data.
