New App V2.44

Earlier today I downloaded the new Android app v2.44 on both my phone and tablet, and restarted each of them after the install finished.  So far, so good.  As soon as I opened the new version of the app on the phone, the Fitbit trackers synced and the dashboard was updated.  I hope this fixes some of the problems users have been experiencing with the app.

I can tell you it doesn't, from my personal experience and all the reviews on Playstore.

@Dragonfruit, I am running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, not 7.0 Nougat.  Probably a lot of the problems are with the new OS.  But, I don't put much faith in reviews on Playstore or Amazon or....

@Dragonfruit Can you please elaborate on your experience and add any specific screenshots of issues that you're having with the new Dashboard? Would be super helpful to provide you with some further assistance.

When I try to sync, it only works intermittently. Usual error received is "Your Blaze isn't syncing because your phone's Bluetooth is off" then a popup appears "Bluetooth Issues" with the option to Cancel or Restart. Right now I've learned to live with this and pretty much let the app run in the background and sync when it can. For the most part the Blaze will sync several times a day, sometimes I need to restart phone or toggle bluetooth on/off and restart app.

Notifications do not work at all, tried various times. Encryption required on/off, with the notification widget on/off. No luck.

If I try to start an exercise on Blaze it won't connect to phone for GPS; I've had it work one time since I received the Blaze couple weeks ago. Usually says "Connecting to Phone" followed by "Phone not Found".

@Dragonfruit The Moto Z is not currently listed as a supported device on our supported devices list, which could explain the reason why you're running into trouble getting a consistent sync and notifications to kick in.

At this point, my suggestion is to try a mobile device listed as supported. That will also resolve the notifications issues.

Our Android team is always working to test and add more devices to the supported devices list. Please check it out occasionally for updates.

Yeh I have a Samsung S3 which works perfectly; but this phone is too old and slow to use as my daily driver now. Really the only option is to wait.

Ok, after a couple days on v2.44 I can advise that it certainly seems more stable than 2.43 in regards to all day sync and sync/bluetooth errors.

They still occur, just less often.

I installed the new v2.44.1 this morning, but I haven't noticed any differences. I wasn't having any problems with the previous version, though.
