New Fitbit Icon

Today (22/2/18) I have a new Fitbit icon appear on my Android screen at the top left.

The page which appears when you follow it gives instructions as to how to remove it but I cannot get it to disappear without removing notifications from Fitbit on my phone settings.

Can somebody please help me to get rid of this annoying icon but still get notifications?

@Anonymity, I am running Android app v2.66, and do not have a new Fitbit icon appearing at the top of my screen.  Are you running v2.66 of the app?  Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing?

Hi @USAF-Larry

Thanks for your interest. My Firmware says 27.311.29

I have posted pics below of my home screen showing the icon and another showing the detail if I pull down the top of the screen to see notifications.

@Anonymity, I am unable to view the pictures - they are apparently on AOL, and I do not have an AOL account.  Rather that the tracker Firmware version, what is the version number of your Android app (under Account Screen->Help)

Sorry - I am a bit new to this and, as I am sure you have already determined, a bit of a novice! My version is 2.66 too.

To try to explain a bit more, if I pull down the top of my home screen on my android I get the notfications appearing. This usually has the option to clear by pressing the clear button next to notional settings. On the 'Fitbit Synch Service' message I always see now, the CLEAR button is in shadow so I don't have the opportunity to do so hence it is always there.

@AnonymityIf this is what you see, it's generated by Android V8 on my phone.. I can't do much about it and it doesn't worry me.. Some were concerned about battery usage, but by 4:52pm yesterday the Fitbit App on my phone only used 1% of the battery..
