This new app is hopeless. Never syncs first time and the tikes are annoying.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. Why o we have to syc online why not just to the phone. I do t like this wifi agenda.

Hello @muscleyfellow, good to see you around again, thank you for your coments about the new design of the Fitbit app. I've seen your other posts where are you sharing your feedback too and as you may know this change was implemented a while ago.
We have compile all the feedback and comments about the Android app and we've shared this information to our teams. In the meantime there are no plans to revert the app to the old version. Nonetheless we are always working to improve the Fitbit experience with future updates. To review the last update with the official response about this topic please visit this post.
if you are expiring syncing issues, note this is not cause of the design of the app, but is more related to the connectivity of the phone in relation to the tracker, so I recommend to follow these troubleshooting steps: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).
Take care and keep participating in the Fitbit Community!

Unfortunately this is to do with the app and not the phone.
The old one synched first time. This one you have to keep pulling down and perhaps on the third time it will synch and it also take a while for the data to apper.
The data gatherer( Fitbit) has not answered my question re why do we have to have data saved with their server via wifi. My own phone has data storage on it.
This should be an option.

@muscleyfellow, one of the primary reasons for maintaining your data on the Fitbit Server is so it is available to you when you log in from other devices, such as the Fitbit.com Dashboard, which allows you to analyze your data in various formats. It also allows you to share your data with Fitbit friends. Additionally, if you replace your tracker or phone, all of the data is still available to you.

Hi there @muscleyfellow, I believe @USAF-Larry has explained the reason why the data is stored in our servers better than me. This statement is correct; the reason of this is because your raw data from your tracker is compile and analyzed in our servers so it is available in all the devices where you want to see your information.
Same principle as it happen with an online cloud, only that this is dedicated for your daily activity data. Also it allows the protection of this information in case of any loss, as it saves space on your phone storage.
See you later and keep me posted if you have other question.
