Hi @mikkie1,
Thanks for the link. I prefer to get it from the official source, as I feel it's safer. And it actually came out on Google Play over a week ago, so it's quicker there also!

Like @WavyDavey, I just wait for it to be listed on Google Play Store on my phone & tablet, then I know it will function on my version of the OS.

Hello,
but the 2.69 Version has the same issue as 2.68. Only Version 2.67 works for me (FitBIT IONIC).
So i have downgraded to Version 2.67 (Download from APK-Mirror)

Hello there @mikkie1, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! Also thank you for your input @TheAssimiator, @WavyDavey and @USAF-Larry.
Just to clarify some information here, @mikkie1 you are correct those new additions that you mentioned were implemented in the Fitbit app. However, at the moment there is not version 2.69. The latest release for the Fitbit app in Android was 2.68. Keep in mind by our Community guidelines we do not allow sharing external links in the forums that can take our Community members to harmful or unknown sites.
As @USAF-Larry and @WavyDavey mentioned before, the best is to use the Google Play store to download the official version from Fitbit.
For any related news regarding new updates of the Fitbit app in Android, please refer to this post.
@TheAssimiator I saw you are having troubles with the version 2.68 of the app. Just keep in mind downgrading the version of the app may work, but we cannot guarantee all the features will work as is expected.
See you later and hope this information clarify details of the latest version of the app.

Hello there friends, just to keep you updated; yesterday we started rolling out the new version for the Fitbit app in Android under version 2.69. Review your Google play Store in order to get the official version.
If this version still is not available for you, please review later as this will become gradually available to all users.
For more details, please refer to this article: What's changed in the latest release of the Fitbit app?
See you around!

Make sure you have "always connected" and "keep alive" widget enabled. That seems to have solved many problems for me.
Everything is working great now, except for the 'mobilerun' pause / delete problem. I'm using the Blaze with a Moto X Pure, for reference.

I'd suggest sticking at v2.65.1 which is the last version that works reliably for my phone.
After 13 months of reliable sync and assisted GPS I developed problems with both because of the app update. I was told by a Fitbit mod on here that my phone (Samsung Galaxy A5 2017) isn't compatible with the Charge 2.
What annoys me is that this is a b/s excuse to not have to fix problems and when I bought the Charge 2 the only hardware requirements on the box were Android 5 or above and Bluetooth. At no point does it say on the box to check the website for compatibility else I'd not have bought the **ahem** thing.
I can't sync to Windows because I refuse to run Windows 10 and the unreliability of AGPS is the killer. I can handle the sync being choppy.
So, as I said, if I were you I'd return to a previous version of the app. Unfortunately it isn't 100% foolproof because Fitbit updated the firmware too and that may contribute to the loss of function.
Pretty hard to think a Galaxy S4 (5 years old) is compatible but my 8 month old phone isn't or the 2 year old back up phone I have.
So, to reliably track activities I have to use Endomondo which works flawlessly and doesn't suggest I run all over the map like a demented wasp!

I have been running v2.69 ever since it was released, and have not had any problem with it syncing with any of my trackers. I am running it on an HTC One M9 phone with Android 7.0.

I still have the same problem. No syncing once I leave my home with the Charge 2 and Huawei P9 lite!
