both mum and i have fitbits charge 2. neither have had any problems.  i ordered a new charge 2 fitbit for dad and am so angry.

1) the fitbit setup icon on fitbit is stuck on front screen.  it will not shift and there are no guidance notes to quickly trouble shoot!  the fitbit website should be helpful but its not.

2) there are dashboard items i have but dad just doesnt have them.  he is linked to same app as me and mum but he has less.  the main reason for getting this watch was to monitor sleep and he cant do it.

3) the app on a 10.1 samsung tablet says its not compatible and its this i need to link fitbit to!

4)website wouldnt let me log in and kept directing me to an app that wasnt compatible.

5) why are only expensive models and makes of

phone compatible with the fitbit.  why dont you advertise or promote the cheapest phone to work with gitbit

Hi, @bbullock! The first couple of issues you list both sound like they come from the tracker not yet being linked to the account. Once the tracker is linked, you should see the information both on the tracker and in the account.

As for the compatibility, there are so many Android models especially that Fitbit takes quite some time to verify compatibility. With many devices, they will work, they're just not on the list because not all the features have been tested by Fitbit.

As far as everything else goes, maybe you could start by setting up his tracker on one of your other devices (just log out temporarily and log in with his account) and that would at least get you going.

Best of luck!

Thanks for replying.  It doesn't quite solve the problem though. The fitbit doesn't link to an app that both mine and mums links to.   It still shows the fitbit setup screen on watch.

Hi, @bbullock! As I mentioned in the first post, that should resolve once you create an account for him and link the tracker to the account. That screen shows up only until the tracker is linked to an account.
