New fitbit won't sync to app

I just bought a brand new fitbit charge hr, i downloaded the app to my samsung s6 but it will not sync up. I press down the button for 3 seconds like it tells me. But the app will not connect to the fitbit. How can i fix this?

Welcome to the Community @Lhysmith. If your tracker is not syncing with your Samsung phone, I recommend following our Syncing Troubleshoot. After these steps your tracker should work properly.

Welcome to our Community @Lhysmith thanks for joining us! Smiley HappyI'd appreciate you verify the following:

 

1. Bluetooth is enabled in your Android settings. Bluetooth also must be enabled within the Fitbit app. You can check this by tapping the menu button and selecting Device Settings. 

2. Internet connection is working correctly.

Once you have verified the requirements above please try the following steps: 

1. Reboot your Android device. 
2. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app and try setting up again.

I tried all of the trouble shooting and it still won't let me set up my fitbit. I tried setup on the computer also and still nothing.

I think that it is time for you to contact our Support Team @Lhysmith. They will provide more detailed instructions to setup your tracker. For a faster response you can contact them via phone or chat.
